An exchange unit is a remanufactured replacement part. It may be supplied in advance, require your original unit first for data transfer, or be used when repair isn’t possible or a faster solution is needed.

Exchange returns must be completed within 30 days of receiving the replacement.

Failure to return your unit:
- May void your warranty
- May result in a surcharge
- Repeated non-returns may lead to order cancellation
(We do not charge a surcharge upfront on most items, except some high-value parts.)

How do I know if the part is correct?

Matching the part number on your original unit is the best way to ensure you’re ordering the correct repair or exchange service. Repair services can usually be narrowed down by make, model, and year, however exchange units must match the part number in most cases. If unsure, contact us.

Programming & Coding
Will programming be required?
Will programming be required?
When sending your part for repair, in general it will not need coding or programming back to the vehicle.
Some exchange units may:
- Require your original unit first to transfer data
- Be programmed by us
- Require coding on the vehicle after installation
We will advise where possible before processing.

Yes. All parts sent for repair are tested before any repair work to confirm the unit is the cause of the fault. Replacement and exchange units are also tested and remanufactured where necessary before shipping.

Yes. We test and repair a wide range of vehicle electronic units (including ECUs, ABS, clusters and other control modules), depending on the part.

In most cases, repair is the most economical option. Exchange replacement is used when repair isn’t possible or when a faster solution is needed.

We may accept returns in cases of misdiagnosis, subject to inspection. Returned units must be retested (and sometimes reprogrammed). A testing fee or restocking fee (typically up to 50%) may apply. Brand-new parts are non-returnable.
